Join the Steyning Downland Scheme for a relaxed day helping us with our conservation work. Get some exercise, enjoy the views, meet new friends and conserve our precious wildlife, all at the same time!
Everyone's welcome to join this event, which is being led by Jo Wren, Director of GROW, in conjunction with West Sussex Mind.
We'll be starting at 10.30 and aiming to finish around 3pm, with lunch around 12.30. Feel free to stay just up to lunchtime, or for the whole day.
Please wear tough shoes / boots, long trousers and clothing appropriate for the weather (a hat is advised in the sun). Bring a water bottle, and if you're planning to be there for both sessions, a packed lunch too. Please note: there are no toilet facilities on the Steyning Downland.
Hand tools will be provided and you will be instructed in how to use them. We'll also talk through some routine health and safety considerations before we start. By signing up for the day, you are agreeing to follow these.
Meeting Point: We will be meeting at the SDS Gateway, off Mouse Lane (see map below). The nearest postcode is BN44 3LQ.
Please note: Booking for this event closes on Friday 12th August at midday.
We create inspiring opportunities for people through volunteering, engaging events and inclusive access, so improving the Steyning Downland for wildlife and for present and future generations to enjoy.
