If you are interested in becoming a Texas EGRT volunteer, it's free but you will need to do all of these things:
• Complete three FEMA courses
• Review the Tx EGRT Standard Operational Guidelines
• Complete the online Tx EGRT Training Course
• Attend this free in-person Tx EGRT training class.
See this page for more details: http://www.texasegrt.org/egrt-training.html
You may complete the FEMA training after the in-person class.
Each student will receive the training materials and a DVD of response data. This class is being held at the Freese and Nichols office. You will need to bring your own laptop with a stand-alone ArcGIS license. If you need a stand-alone ArcGIS student license contact David Allen and we can provide one. Also bring materials for taking notes.
Please do not plan on using the WiFi to VPN or remotely connect to another server as this will be very slow.
Note: You must be a working GIS professional; sorry, we do not accept college students into the program.
