After returning from Japan, many JET Programme Alumni are faced with the question: ‘what do I do next?’ The answer isn’t always so easy to determine, especially if you’re experiencing mild disorientation from reverse culture shock. The question then may become: ‘what can I do?’ or ‘what jobs are out there?’ or even ‘what kind of networks do I have that can help me?’ Career searching may seem like a daunting challenge, but with help from JETAA Toronto it doesn’t have to be.

If you’re a former JET Program participant and would either like to embark on a career path or network amongst established industry representatives then you should come out to the Career Roundtable. With support from the Consul-General of Japan to Toronto, it is with great pleasure that JETAA is able to present this opportune career development and networking event for a second year in this upcoming November.

The roundtable is compromised of two parts; in the first half professionals from a variety of sectors will present an overview of their respective fields. The second half will be open networking over delicious refreshment, allowing JETAA members to further mingle and engage with industry representatives.

We will be sharing more information about the industries that will be represented at the event on the JETAA Facebook group and website. This year’s roundtable will be hosted at The Japan Foundation at their new location at 2 Bloor Street East (Unit 300) in downtown Toronto. Join us on Thursday November 26th at 6:30pm.
